AIR QUALITY AND NOISE STUDY IN SETTLEMENTS AND METAL SCRAP MELTING FACTORY

Air is an important component for the survival of living things, especially humans. However, air quality has decreased due to pollution. The harmful elements that enter atmosphere are Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulfur (SO2), Particulates (PM10), and Ozone (O3). Noise defined as unwanted sound or so it disturbs endangers health. Sources noise divided into moving stationary sources. method used in this research grab sampling by installing sampler impinger capture particles pollutants well taking data using a simple with Sound Level Meter reading every 5 seconds within 10 minutes one measurement. results showed residential workspace areas was still standards. level acceptable, but production room surpasses acceptable limit.
